The Orlando chapter of the Awesome Foundation has announced that it will be taking a brief hiatus until the fall, when they expect they will be able to meet in-person again, due to the pandemic.

The Awesome Foundation is a group of ten people who each donate $100 a month for a pot of $1,000 cash that they donate to a project that they think will, “make Orlando more awesome.” Applications are submitted HERE by local artists, creatives, organizations, and ragamuffins, reviewed by the board of ten awesome judges (or judges of awesome), and then the winner is given an envelope filled with cold, hard cash.

Bungalower and the Milk District were awarded an Awesome Foundation grant to help fund our Milk Crate Furniture project.

The local chapter has stated that they hope Orlando takes the next few months to cook up some really out-of-the-box ideas to submit this fall when they return. An exact month for their promised return was not announced.
