EDIT: We originally stated that Deli Desires was moving into the former home of Sanctum Cafe. That is incorrect, they are in fact opening in the same building, but in a different storefront. Also, the matzah ball soup will not be part of the early menu and will be added at a later date.

A new Jewish deli concept is moving into [a storefront next to] the former home of Sanctum Cafe at 715 N. Fern Creek Avenue [GMap] in Colonialtown.

Deli Desires (Instagram) will be hosting a soft-open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday through Sunday this weekend at their new brick-and-mortar location with pick-up service only until further notice. The menu will consist of items like challah bread, latkes, and matzo ball soup.

Online ordering is expected to launch in the next few weeks according to their social posts.

Sanctum Cafe closed last summer following very public allegations of sexual harassment against one of the owners of the restaurant. More on that HERE on Orlando Weekly.
