EDIT: We originally stated that Educe had been in business for 28 years but in fact, it’s been 10 years. Co-owner Phillip Rosado has been doing hair for 28 years. We apologize for any confusion.

Educe Salon (Facebook | Website), which has been in business for 28 10 years, has just announced that it will be taking over the former Chan’s Chinese Cuisine building in the Mills 50 District.

We told you HERE in November 2020 when the building, located at 1901 E. Colonial Drive [GMap], had sold to new owners. At the time, all we knew was that, according to Mills 50 Main Street manager Joanne Grant, there was talk of converting the building into a beauty school for an unnamed local brand.

According to Educe co-owner Phillip Rosado, Educe will be relocating their salon operations from their current home at 936 N. Mills Avenue [GMap] to the Chan’s building once renovations are complete. The Mills location will soon be available to rent for any new concepts looking to move into the area.

If all goes well, the Educe team plan to be operating out of the new building by the fall of 2021, but will remain in their current location until that time.

RENDERING VIA EDUCE SALON
