The City of Winter Park’s Planning and Transportation Department will host a special online workshop, in cooperation with Kinley-Horn Planning and Design Engineering Consultants, to discuss transportation topics related to the Orange Avenue Overlay District project.
The virtual discussion will cover the following topics, as related to a proposed revisioning of the Orange Avenue corridor.
- traffic related to potential redevelopment
- travel patterns
- strategies to reduce congestion and improve safety
- multi-modal transportation within the OAO
- parking options
- funding strategies for transportation improvements
The workshop will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4 and you can register for it HERE.
First and most important benefit of this will be the greenspace. The huge buildings being being developed in and around Winter Park and Maitland should be excluded from this plan. These very nice articles being used for this demonstration are not 4-7 story tall buildings that take up all the space, that we have seen of recent developments. That cannot happen here.
