AdventHealth has begun construction on a new health care center, which will serve as the Florida headquarters for Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute (Website).

The new 12-story, 300,000 SF building will be located next to I-4, just north of the Princeton exit

At 12 stories and 300,000 square feet, the building will be a major addition to the Orlando skyline, located next to Interstate 4 just north of the Princeton Street exit and will be used for research and academic uses.

In addition, the tower, which is scheduled to open in late 2022, will include space for other AdventHealth services including neuroscience, imaging, rehabilitation, and research, offering comprehensive outpatient care.

The project will be developed and owned by health care real estate services firm Meadows & Ohly, in partnership with AdventHealth and physicians.

Batson-Cook, the general contractor on the project, reports that the building will include more than 71.5 million pounds of concrete; more than two acres’ worth of glass, and enough steel and rebar to build about 1,300 SUVs.

  1. I wish Advent Health would stop with the giant buildings and develop instead some giant green spaces to walk and enjoy our beautiful sunny Central Florida. This might help people stay healthy longer and avoid the hip and knee surgery that are so often a part of our medical lives. They need to give back.
