A new fast-casual Greek restaurant has opened in downtown Orlando, on the bottom floor of the SkyHouse building at 335 N. Magnolia Avenue [GMap].

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill (Facebook | Website) opened on Monday, April 12 according to Orlando Weekly, and is open for breakfast and happy hour.

A grand opening is scheduled for April 19 with free gyros.

Prior to this use, the space was home to a short-lived pizzeria called Your Pie that closed in June 2017 followed by BITE, which stood for “Be Inspired To Eat” which didn’t last that long either.

We first wrote about this restaurant HERE in October 2020.

  1. Daisy,

    The Athenian Room?

I think you will have to keep looking. Haven’t been (and not saying it isn’t good), but this is a fast casual joint, so more like Little Greek or Zoës Kitchen, not an old-school restaurant.

You need to go to The Greek Corner in Ivanhoe Village for a proper Greek restaurant.

  2. Omg I hope they are like the Athenian Room in Chicago I have not found anything since I moved here. I will try this new Greek place and hope it’s like back home. I really miss it thank you for letting us know it’s open…
