The City of Orlando is currently meditating on how to address walk-up windows, as the current Land Development Code doesn’t address them. Currently, the City requires a Conditional Use Permit for either walk-up windows or drive-through establishments but with the recent spike in requests for either treatment during the pandemic, they are being forced to add language that would consider location, surrounding uses, parking, and access for any further windows with new projects.
Possible restrictions would include limiting outdoor speakers, so as not to annoy nearby residents.
