A former project led by Greg Peters of Graffiti Junktion to rebuild a former Milk District tobacco shop in 2019 – that was inevitably abandoned – is nearing completion under new ownership.
The former Beer and Tobacco Outlet, located at 201 N. Bumby Avenue [GMap], will now be the new home of Milkhouse (Instagram), a bar and eatery concept by the team behind Foxtail Coffee.
Milkhouse will be occupied by a variety of local brands like Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream (Facebook | Website), Bagel Bruno (Facebook | Website), a full bar by the team at The Courtesy Bar (Facebook | Website), Ravenous Pig Brewing Co. (Facebook | Website), Itsa Chicken (Instagram | Website), and a new Italian tapas concept by Bruno Zacchini.
While the new concept will house all of these separate brands, Milkhouse is not presenting itself as a traditional food hall as you will have one point of service to bring you your orders where you are seated, rather than having to shop a number of different stalls to cobble together your meal.
Milkhouse is expected to open to the public in late May 2021 with 160 seats both outdoors and indoors and will operate 6 a.m.-midnight Sunday to Wednesday and 6 a.m.-2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Can’t wait to have a brand new place to grab a coffee in the morning or even a drink in the evening! Can’t wait for it to open
