Leu Gardens Executive Director Robert Bowden shared some interesting numbers in a recent e-newsletter from the botanical garden offices, including news that memberships had increased by 37 percent since March 2020.

“Attendance has skyrocketed, too – 16% higher, the highest number in our 60-year history.”

– ROBERT BOWDEN

Leu Gardens was host to a number of large-scale and more boutique outdoor events in the last year, bolstered by social distancing protocols, that helped expose the park to a whole new group of people and get those numbers up so high.

Upcoming events include:

  • A new Alphabet Scavenger Hunt where every letter in the alphabet will be hidden throughout the 50-acres, highlighting different plants, beginning May 1.
  • On Mother’s Day, mothers can enter the Gardens for free.
  •  Wonder Woman 1984 will be screened on May 7 for the next outdoor movie.
