Orlando Magic just announced that it will be moving its corporate office from Maitland into downtown Orlando.
The move will be a temporary one as Orlando Magic leaves RDV Sportsplex in Maitland in favor of the CNL Center II building in downtown Orlando ahead of the opening of the new Orlando Sports and Entertainment District mixed-use development project in a few years.
“We are excited to relocate our staff of 200-plus into this office space in the heart of downtown Orlando and near the Amway Center,” said Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins. “This opportunity will help improve our overall efficiency as an organization and serve as a bridge leading to the eventual move to the SED development.”
JLL, a professional services firm, brokered the deal, which will give the Magic office space on two floors of the CNL Center II. A timeline for the move had not been announced at the time of this post.
Why does a sports need even need offices OR 200 people? Such waste.
