Orlando is getting it’s first meadery – or rather – a space that makes mead.
Mead is an alcoholic beverage that is made by fermenting honey with water, and occassionally with fruits, spices, grains, and hops. It’s the oldest known alcoholic drink in the world and pre-dates beer and wine by thousands of years.
Zymarium Meadery (Facebook | Website) will specialize in small batches and will feature a small tasting room when finished. An Indiegogo fundraiser is planned to launch soon, according to an earlier release.
