“We’re back. We’re back on course!”

– Orange County Mayor Demings

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced that he expects all local COVID-19 mandates to lift on Saturday, June 5.

Mayor Demings stated that due to the positivity rate remaining below 5% for the last two weeks, they would be working to lift COVID-19 mandates across the county as part of his three-tiered reopening plan.

Demings also announced that the county’s state of emergency had been lifted as well, but that all residents must still abide by all CDC guidelines.
