Micromobility companies Lime and Wheels have just launched integrated services in Orlando.

Scooter-users will be able to rent scooters from both companies using the Lime app for any trip under five miles. Orlando will allegedly be the first city in the world where riders can use one app for both companies, according to a press release sent out earlier today.

According to Lime, their scooters have been used by over 100,000 people who have taken roughly 250,000 rides since launching in January 2020.

The City of Orlando is expected to review a proposed ordinance to extend the current scooter share pilot program at the upcoming June 28 council meeting.

  1. PLEASE do something to get scooter users NOT to leave them in the MIDDLE OF THE SIDEWALK (!!) when they are finished riding. They are a safety hazard to walkers… and totally inconsiderate!!
