A new pineapple-inspired restaurant is ready to open in Ivanhoe Village.

The Pinery (Facebook | Website) is a new casual fine dining restaurant on the bottom floor of the$76 million newly-opened Lake House Apartments in Ivanhoe Village (where the penthouse was just rented out for over $12,000 a month).

The Pinery was inspired by a pineapple plantation (which are also called “pineries,” get it?) that used to operate on the shores of Lake Ivanhoe. The plantation was owned and operated by George Russell, who we’ve written about previously HERE. The story is so inspiring, another restaurant nearby, Russell’s on Lake Ivanhoe, took the same theme and ran with it as well.

The Pinery overlooks nearby Lake Ivanhoe and the downtown Orlando skyline over its outdoor patio, which opens to the bar via a hydraulic swing window. The dining room is intimate and well-appointed, and the menu is frankly, delicious, featuring fresh, seasonal Florida foods.

Happy hour, or “Golden Hours” as the staff call it, will be daily from 4-6 p.m.

The restaurant opens to the public for dinner service on Monday, June 21, and is located at 295 NE Ivanhoe Boulevard [GMap].
