A Lake Alert has been issued for Lake Rowena on May 27, 2021, due to the presence of cylindrospermopsin toxins.

The results were found by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, which is closely monitoring the lake. The city is advising the public to refrain from swimming, recreating, and irrigating in/from the lake until further notice.
