Plans that were rendered by the talented team at gdp Design Build (Instagram | Website) build have been submitted to the City of Orlando for a new restaurant concept in a former Mills 50 mattress shop.

The firm has been responsible for a number of the most eye-catching restaurant and retail designs in Orlando in the last few years, including Tori Tori, multiple Bento Asian Kitchen locations, Lacastro, multiple Domu locations, Golden Hour Wine, KASA, Mamak, and Maki Hibachi.

Their latest project will convert a former mattress shop at 1241 E. Colonial Drive [GMap] into The Moderne, which, according to the plans, will feature some modern influences.

We’ve reached out to the owner of the new project and will share any updates they share in the near future.
