The Timucua Arts Foundation (Facebook | Website) will host its 1000th concert on Saturday, August 28 at 7 p.m. at their SoDo concert venue.
Timucua was launched by former Cirque du Soleil music director, Benoit Glazer and his wife Elaine Corriveau, who transformed his home into a world-class concert hall in September 2000.
The concert will showcase the talents of contemporary percussionist Britton-Rene Collins in the Timucua White House, which is located at 2000 S. Summerlin Avenue [GMap]. According to the event language, the experimental program, “… sonically parallels modern societal shifts relating to virtual communication and social interaction during the 2020 pandemic and events surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement. “
Colins is a winner of the 2020 Concert Artist Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition.
Tickets start at $25 and are available HERE for purchase.
Congratulations to the Timucua Arts Foundation. This organization is a huge asset to our community.
