EDIT: The RFP has in fact not been released yet. When it is posted, interested parties can click the link at the bottom of this post for more information. We apologize for any confusion.

The City of Winter Park has just issued will be issuing a Request for Proposals to find property where it can move its downtown post office to.

We told you HERE in October 2019 that Winter Park commissioners were considering acquiring the downtown United States Post Office Building, located at 300 N. New York Avenue [GMap]. And it appears as if that time has finally come.

The City officially wants to expand Central Park by purchasing the post office and finding it a new 2-acre home somewhere within city limits.

The RFP, which you can read HERE if you are registered with VendorLink, will be up for 60 days.
