CHEF TUNG, PICTURED

We told you HERE in July that the second floor of East End Market would be transformed into a new restaurant/shopping/pop-up food venue called “The Neighbors,” and the first pop-up dinner concept has already been announced.

“Camille” will be a French-Vietnamese-style affair served Chef’s table-style by Chef Tung Phan, who was mentored by Michelin-starred classical French Chef Pascal Sanchez and has worked at the award-winning Victoria and Alberts at Walt Disney World Resort, and Isleworth Country Club, where he works currently.

The Neighbors will feature a revolving chef’s table concept called “Domu Lab” which will serve as a chef’s incubator, featuring an eight-seat kitchen table. Chef Tung’s residency will feature a seven-course prix fixe menu that will include wine, beer, and craft cocktail pairings for dinner service only, with two seatings each evening.

The pop-up will feature a modern Vietnamese-inspired menu with items like Thit Kho Ravioli with slow-braised caramelized pork, wild-caught prawns with Viet-cajun beurre blanc and house-crafted semolina pasta, and Mediterranean-inspired mung bean falafel with Imperial caviar and Thai basil yogurt.

The name “Camille” comes from Chef Tung’s first-born daughter, whose middle name is Camille.

Chef Tung’s pop-ups are expected to begin this fall. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
