Paperwork has been filed with the City of Orlando requesting approval for a Conditional Use Permit that will allow for on-site consumption in a building located at 317 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], just across the street from St. James Catholic Cathedral.

The plans call for a new dog park/sports bar called Pups Pub (Instagram) which, upon further research, would be the second location for the Tampa-based concept, which specializes in off-leash, air-conditioned dog parks with full liquor.

The long-awaited Projection Park we told you about in 2017 that will be located across the street is still in the works according to the City of Orlando.

Amenities listed in the hand-drawn layout attached below include a turfed indoor play area, a long bar, murals, and a projector screen, and wall-mounted televisions.

According to their Tampa location, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations with records in hand or sent ahead of a scheduled visit, and dogs over one year of age must be spayed or neutered.

Since dogs will be allowed inside, they are not allowed to prepare food on-site but they will likely feature food trucks like their Tampa Bay sister venue.

The project is currently scheduled for a hearing with the Municipal Planning Board on October 19, 2021.
