Popular Sichuan restaurant, Taste of Chengdu (Facebook), opened a second location in Baldwin Park in August 2020, in the former home of Chi Pan Asian, located at 4856 New Broad Street [GMap].

That location was forced to temporarily close its doors this summer, despite being a massive hit, due to a disagreement between staff and the ownership team, according to a report published by Faiyaz Kara for Orlando Weekly.

While the plan was for the owners to “take time to regroup” and reopen in August, the restaurant is finally scheduled to reopen its doors on Monday, September 13, but for carry-out only.

The restaurant team posted on their social channels that they need some added time to train new staff before opening for dine-in service but that orders could be placed via telephone at 407-286-4850 between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The original West Colonial location is still closed until further notice.
