As our friend Jack Witthaus discovered for Orlando Business Journal, a new restaurant will be moving into the former home of Dexter’s Winter Park in Hannibal Square at 558 W. New England Avenue [GMap].

Cafe-Boutique Piano (Instagram) will be a new European-influenced restaurant concept with a slogan of “From the East to the West” and is owned by Andrei and Larisa Makhaev. Their daughter, Polina, told Bungalower that this will be the second restaurant for the family, the second having been a high-end venue called VABI in western Russia.

The family has lived in Europe for a number of years and that experience will influence their menu which will offer a variety of European cuisines alongside “delicious coffee and a few unique desserts” according to Polina.

The restaurant will also feature custom artworks that will be for sale and created by co-owner Larisa Makhaev who is also designing the new interior.

And yes, it will have a piano.

The restaurant is expected to open sometime in 2022.
