According to a recent report by Inside Radio, Cox Media Group has just laid off a number of local on-air talent as part of larger cutbacks in multiple markets.

The “Reduction in Force” at WDBO Orlando has seen the departure of Tony Marino, host of “Orlando’s Evening News,” Darrell Moody and Ray Caputo of “Orlando’s Morning News” among a number of others like Matt Holiday, who worked with Power 95.3 WPYO for just five months.

The cuts come at the same time that Cox Media Group owner, Apollo Global Management, is allegedly seeking to acquire television group operator TEGNA.
