John Rivers’ 4Roots Foundation will be launching a new farmers market in the Packing District this weekend as a precursor to the under-construction urban farm that’s being built at the center of the development.

The market will be hosted on the northwest corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Princeton Street at 2310 N. Orange Blossom Trail [GMap] from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in partnership with local produce delivery food co-op, The Farmacy, which Rivers teamed up with back in April to help them expand.

The new market will be a weekly event and will feature actual local produce from local farms, unlike many local farmers markets, including Back Yard Farm Express, Bekemeyer Family Farm, Brook Hollow Farm, Do Good Farm, Ever Oak Farm, Frog Song Organics, Goats and Whatnot Farm, Lake Meadow Naturals, Southern Honey Company, and Tomazin Farms.

Also in attendance will be Pick Me Up Flower Truck, Cholo Dogs, and Lineage Roasting.
