The Orange County Animal Services have just launched a billboard campaign to help find homes for two dogs that have spent months at the local shelter.

Cano was abandoned outside a local vet in April 2021 and sent to the Orange County Animal Services two days later. He has spent over 170 days in the shelter, making it one of the lengthiest stays in the shelter’s history.

Cano is very people friendly, knows his obedience commands well and responds to instruction. We believe he’s around nine years old, but don’t let that age fool you, he still has plenty of energy and would benefit from having an active owner.”

– DIANE SUMMERS, ORANGE COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES MANAGER

Davey spent three months at the shelter last year before being brought back in May 2021. According to Bryant Almeida, Public Information Officer for OCAS, Davey can be a bit mouthy (not that he talks back and cusses, but he likes to hold onto you with his mouth) and requires a dog owner with some experience to help him break the habit. Davey has been at the shelter for over 130 days.

Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road [GMap] right next to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s building which had a sudden fire last month.
