  1. While we await the apointment of a new Nighttime Economy Manager for the Downtown Business District, it appears as if all of the public programs created by the original “Night Mayor” have all but disappeared.
  2. You’ve seen the beautiful views from Church Street’s high rise AC Hotel and Sky Bar, now its sister tower is ramping up to be built on the current site of Ballroom at Church Street and we have the renderings.
  3. The historic Veranda at Thornton Park property is for sale and we made a whole Pinterest Board of ideas for the next owner.
  4. The Immersive Van Gogh event has been postponed but we now know that its “historic venue in the heart of downtown Orlando” is in fact, the Orange County Convention Center. They still need to sign the lease though.
  5. The Pet Alliance has seen record-breaking numbers of donations since its Conroy shelter was burned down last month and it’s accelerating the timetable for their new home, but they’re still looking for a long-term/temporary home until its built.
  6. A local donut shop is offering Halloween-themed delivery services with someone dressed as Pennywise the clown from Stephen King’s “It.”
  7. The SoDo Main Street just hired a new executive director and it’s Misty Heath, our Direcor of Public Partnerships here at Bungalower Media.
