Bike/Walk Central Florida (Website) is inviting local cyclists and cycling-wannabees/beginners to join them for its fifth annual Bike 5 Cities event on October 30.
Participants will follow a 28-mile route that takes them through Winter Park, Orlando, Casselberry, Maitland, and Eatonville as part of a self-paced ride, a new family-friendly guided ride or part of small groups with strangers/new friends.
The event is meant for riders of all levels and is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Mobility Week promotions, to highlight safe, multimodal transportation across the state.
The group ride leaves from Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park and makes their way through Orlando to Casselberry, Maitland, and Eatonville. Riders of all ages and skill levels are invited to join.
This year features five registration locations, with one in each of the cities:
- Mead Garden in Winter Park
- Community Park in Maitland
- Town Hall in Eatonville
- Wirz Park in Casselberry
- Druid Park in Orlando
