Popular food truck Smoke and Donuts (Facebook | Website) has just signed a lease for the former home of Kernel Encore at 601 N. Primrose Drive [GMap], just by Se7enbites.

Smoke and Donuts will offer lunch and dinner dine-in, take-out, third-party delivery, and catering options out of their new home, which is just around the corner from their current stomping grounds at A La Cart, where they’ve been a resident food truck since June 2020.

Orlando rocks! And we are super stoked to be part of this spirited, creative community. We have felt – since our first days popping up in parking lots under a tent – such inspiring enthusiasm and generosity from the city we call home. We look forward to creating new menu items to bring our guests a deeper dive into the unique, quirky, scientific, diverse cuisine that is BBQ. Our whole crew is ecstatic to welcome Central Florida to our new home in one of our favorite Orlando areas, the Milk District! We are grateful for A La Cart’s partnership and are glad we will continue to work together in making the Milk District the go-to place in Central Florida.”

– IAN RUSSELL, OWNER OF SMOKE AND DONUTS

Kernel Encore closed its Milk District popcorn shop after 17 years of business in March 2020, and we wrote about it HERE.

Russell has secured Blankenship Architecture and Mathias Foodservice Equipment and Design to redesign the space for their new home.
