The City of Winter Park is looking for someone to oversee the management and operations of the lakes, ponds, and creeks in the city limits.

The Director of Natural Resources and Sustainability prepares all long and short-range courses of action for aquatic plant control, water quality monitoring and improvements, educational public outreach, and regulatory compliance/enforcement of City code, state, and federal requirements related to city projects and programs, shoreline alterations, and preservation of ecological resources.

The position is responsible for overseeing the Urban Forestry Management Plan and the Sustainability Action Plan and serves under the direction of City Management.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Biology, Ecology, or a related field, with a minimum of ten years of experience in lakes management or a related field.

The position pays between $98,490-$153,920 a year.
