Snap! Orlando will host a new exhibition entitled “This Empty World” in February 2022 showcasing photographic panoramas captured by international photographer Nick Brandt in East Africa.

According to a release we received earlier in the week, the series records, ” … the impact of man in places where animals used to roam, but no longer do.” Each animal was photographed in its native landscape and then one of the images is superimposed into a carefully built set in the same location of the original photograph, but transformed into gas stations, construction sites, and bus stations.

The exhibit will be on display from February 4 through April 2, 2022. An opening night celebration will be hosted from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022.

The Snap! Downtown gallery is located at 420 E. Church Street [GMap] and is open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
