Former Manchester United forward and Orlando City captain, Luis Nani, has announced that he will be leaving the team, as management has decided not to extend his contract.
35-year-old Nani was with Orlando City for three seasons and led the club to its first post-season appearances and helped the team reach the final of the MLS Is Back Tournament in 2020.
Orlando City Soccer was sold to new majority owners, the Wilf Family, in July 2021, including affiliate properties like Orlando Pride, Exploria Stadium, and all related soccer assets like the Orlando City Academy and Youth Soccer Network, and training facilities at Osceola Heritage Park and Sylvan Lake Park.
Chris Mueller is also confirmed to leave.
