Elizabeth “Betsy” Gwinn has stepped down as the Executive Director of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park after 15 years in the role
A press release about Gwinn’s resignation shared that Board of Trustees Vice President Kathy Berlinsky has assumed the position of Interim Executive Director, effective immediately.
A national search for the organization’s new director is set to commence shortly.
The Bach Festival Society was founded in Winter Park in 1935 and their most recent performance happened this past Thursday for the Morse Museum’s annual “Christmas in the Park“ event.
A reason for Gwinn’s departure is not public at this time.
Betsy leaves very big shoes to fill. She is a consummate professional and will be sorely missed by many. The Bach Festival was blessed to have her at the helm for 15 years.
