“We are excited to be moving forward with the new facility and working with Robert and Jorge and the entire team. Our timeline has moved up a bit due to the fire at the Orlando shelter in September, but we were fortunate to be so far along in the selection process.  We are ready to rebuild!”

– STEVE BARDY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PET ALLIANCE OF GREATER ORLANDO

The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando (Facebook | Website) has just announced that Borrelli + Partners will be the firm taking on the design of the new Orlando shelter. Construction will be carried out by H.J. High.

The new facility, which we told you about HERE, will be located at 4311 S. John Young Parkway [GMap].  The space will house the organization’s Orlando shelter, volunteer programs, and new business offices with an expected completion date of September 2023.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is undertaking a capital campaign to raise $14 million to cover the design, construction, and all associated costs related to the new facility. You can donate to the Pet Alliance by clicking HERE

Pet Alliance is opening a temporary facility in Parramore at 777 W. Central Boulevard [GMap] that will serve as a space to house adoptable cats and as an offsite adoption location for dogs on the weekends. The temporary space will also serve as a shelter medical facility and office for Pet Alliance’s foster program and is expected to open in early 2022.

All of the dogs in Pet Alliance’s care are currently sheltered at the Sanford facility in Sanford.

A devastating fire in September 2021 destroyed the organization’s Conroy Road shelter.

  1. I’m sad about the animals that were lost in the fire it hurts me so but I’m also glad that there is going to be a home for many more cats and dogs but this time there has to be a. Exit where the animals are dogs and cats just in case. I know because I lost some cats a few days before that I know every body has a heart
