According to a recent report by Faiyaz Kara for Orlando Weekly, a Mexican restaurant chain has signed on to take over the former home of Dexter’s New Standard in Winter Park.

Ponte Vedra Beach-based Anejo Cocina Mexicana (Facebook | Instagram) has signed the lease for the space in the Ravaudage development by Orlando Meats.

An opening timeline for the new restaurant is not public at this time.

The fate of The New Standard has been in Limbo since August when it suddenly closed following a staff walkout. The owner, Nathan Landwer, provided a lengthy statement on the status of the restaurant, sharing that he expected to reopen soon following negotiations with his investors.
