Development plans have been filed with the City of Orlando for the property that once housed the famous Parliament House Resort at 410 N. Orange Blossom Trail [GMap].
Parliament House Resort (Facebook | Website) closed its doors in November 2020. The 20.8-acre property was sold to Miami-based Lion Financial, LLC. in February 2020 in a semi-closed auction as part of an alleged strategy to keep the LGBTQIA+ venue in place for the foreseeable future, which obviously hit a snag.
Lion Financial is now moving forward with a plan to redevelop the property to house a collection of three new four-story, 306-unit apartment complex adjacent to Rock Lake, with a 2,000 SF ground-level retail or small cafe use, under the banner of “Lion Gardens Apartments.”
The new home for the Parliament House is currently being built out in the former CityArts Factory space at 29 S. Orange Avenue [GMap], on the northeastern corner of Pine Street and Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.
The project is expected to be reviewed at the upcoming December 21 Municipal Planning Board meeting.

They keep choosing the ugliest architecture. Like where are the brownstone styles. All of these new apartments look like mini-jailhouses. They’ll perfectly match the architecture of 33rd, but are probably cheaper build.
