UPDATE: Knight’s Pub was acquired by Thriving Hospitality Group and they recently purchased into the partnership behind Saddle Up. Neither of those properties were launched by Thriving Hospitality. This new concept will be very different from those two properties.
Lamp Shade Fair (Facebook | Website) moved out of their former home at 1336 N. Mills Avenue [GMap] back in September 2020 and the building has sat empty ever since, as its new owners worked with the City of Orlando on permits to transform it into something new.
A renovation/building permit was granted earlier this month to Thriving Hospitality and Entertainment, LLC., the company behind Knight’s Pub, Saddle Up, and Thrive Cocktail Bar, and fencing has already been erected around the property, which is adjacent to Pig Floyd’s Barbakoa. The current working name for the project is “The Mills 50 Bar,” though we can’t be sure if that’s temporary or not.
According to paperwork filed with the City of Orlando, the space will be renovated into a new bar/restaurant concept. Not much more is known at the time of this post.
Paperwork also states that The Diversity Mural mosaic on the southern wall of the building will be preserved.
Oh no, what will I wear on my head this new year?
Another classic store gone 😞😢
