We told you HERE in September 2021 that Orlando Weekly‘s parent company, Euclid Media, was selling its home in the historic Tinker Building in downtown Orlando and we can now report that the building has sold for $1,725,000, as of January 7.

The two-story, 6,128 SF office building is located at 16 W. Pine Street [GMap], was purchased by lobbying firm, the Southern Group (Website), to be its new Orlando headquarters. A release from Southern states that the building’s location in proximity to Orlando City Hall, the Orange County Administration building, Exploria Stadium, and the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center were qualifying factors.

Orlando Weekly staff will continue to work remotely according to a statement on Orlando Weekly‘s website, though they have been given an option to lease part of the building. The Southern Group is seeking an “interesting tenant for the first floor, either office, retail, tech, or coworking” according to a release we received earlier today.

The Tinker Building dates back to 1925 when it was home to professional baseball player Joe Tinker’s real estate office. Euclid Media originally purchased the property in 2014 for Orlando Weekly‘s offices for $1,025,000.
