The Downtown Arts District (Website) has just announced the expansion of its free Third Thursday event series in downtown Orlando, in partnership with City District Main Street, Orange County Regional History Center, and Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The event, which takes place on the third Thursday of every month from 6-9 p.m., will now include live entertainment and performances, a makers market, admission to the Orange County History Center, and more.

Attendees will also be encouraged to purchase a $10 wristband to unlock drink specials at participating venues during the event.

“We’re thrilled to build on the success of Third Thursday Orlando so visitors can experience more of what our incredible city has to offer. Our partnerships allow us to broaden the Third Thursday series so guests can enjoy the arts in new and exciting ways.”

– BARBARA HARTLEY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE DOWNTOWN ARTS DISTRICT

The event was traditionally focused on the CityArts building but has since expanded to include Heritage Square at Orange County Regional History Center, where the new makers market will be located, featuring handmade gifts, crafts, and goods. The History Center will also be open, with admission from 6-8 p.m. on event days. Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts will also showcase a variety of street performances and live entertainment in the area starting next month.
