EDIT: Following the posting of this article Foxtail owner Alex Tchekmeian has reiterated that the parting with Bruno was a mutual act and that they are both still friends.

As first reported by the fantastic Amy Drew Detective Agency at Orlando Sentinel, Bruno Zacchini of Pizza Bruno and Foxtail Coffee have [mutually] parted ways.

Zacchini, one of the original food partners at the newly-opened Milkhouse (Website) in The Milk District, walked away from his Cicchetti by Bruno concept not long after opening, but that kitchen has since been absorbed by the Foxtail brand and pivoted to the Cicchetti Kitchen (Website), with a new menu that’s “being added to every day,” according to Foxtail spokesperson, Beth Cocchiarella.

The separation also applies to the OG Foxtail/Bruno collab concept, Bagel Bruno, which opened in the former Hubbly Bubbly building at 3405 Edgewater Drive [GMap] in November 2019. Zacchini will step away from the College Park eatery and leave it in the hands of Foxtail, which is turning it into a new Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream (Facebook | Website) outpost as well as turning it into a new test kitchen to develop food items for the coffee brand as they continue to expand across the state. The test items will be available for purchase.

We reached out to Zacchini for more information on his next steps but hadn’t heard back at the time of this post. According to Amy Drew’s article in the Sentinel, he’s hoping to open a second Pizza Bruno in the near future and is cooking up some collaborative pop-ups as well.
