“Hey! I just saw these trees getting cut down downtown. Do you know what’s happening in this building?”

The former bank building at 44 E. Central Boulevard [GMap] was purchased by an entity known as Jayma Hotel LLC in 2018 for $2 million from Bank United, which paid $2.3 million for it in 2011, according to the Orange County Property Appraiser.

The group behind the purchase,Elementar Outdoor Living (Website), recently chopped down a large oak tree at the front of the property in order to improve sightlines with the street outside of what will be a new showroom for their outdoor living retail line.

Elementar specializes in custom outdoor kitchens, landscaping, exterior renovations, pool restoration, and pergola installations. Their slogan is “life happens outdoors.”

Bungalower spoke with company spokesperson, Rose Hartmann, who told us that they are currently working on more than 2,000 projects in the area for their clients and are building six new showrooms across Central Florida.

They offer all-in-one solutions for their clients and take care of everything from permitting to landscape design and installation.

This specific showroom was estimated to be roughly 90 percent complete when we spoke to Hartmann last week and should be opening before the end of the month.
