PARKLET PHOTO VIA MASON JAR PROVISIONS

The City of Orlando launched a temporary “parklet” program in the Downtown CRA in September 2020 to help business owners transform on-street parking spaces into pop-up outdoor dining in light of indoor seating restrictions.

Following the approval, the City installed five parklets in the Thornton Park Main Street district paid for with CRA funding. They’ve since adapted the pilot project into a three-year program that you can read more about HERE.

The City of Orlando is now seeking input from residents on the overall success of the program and you can participate in the survey HERE.
