The swan boats at Lake Eola Park will be put in the coop through the end of March in order for city crews to carry out some overdue upgrades as of February 28.

The City of Orlando is working on $105,000 renovations of the bigger/better swan boat dock on Lake Eola in order to accommodate four more boats, for a total of 12 rentable birdies when it eventually reopens in early April, 2022.

The swan boat dock is located at 195 N. Rosalind Avenue [GMap] next to Relax Grill on the west side of the park. The boats are available to rent for $15 for a 30-minute window and can seat five people at a time.

  1. Why didn’t they do this during those times when folks wouldn’t have wanted to ride them during those cold times.

Seems that would have more sense than close them in March which is usually a lot warmer and the month Spring starts.

Oh well, guess we’ll have them for summer, unless delays occur, and with most construction projects, that always seems to happen.
