PHOTO OF THE FESTIVAL TAKEN IN 1968 VIA WINTER PARK SIDEWALK ART FESTIVAL

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival (Facebook Website) will return for its 63rd year on Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 in downtown Winter Park.

The annual multi-day festival draws more than 350,000 visitors to Park Avenue every year and this year’s event will feature a Saturday night jazz concert the week before the actual festival on Saturday, March 12, from 3:300-9:30 p.m.

The following streets will be closed Friday, March 18 at 5 a.m. through 8 p.m. Sunday, March 20:

  • New England Avenue – from West Park Avenue to Center Street
  • Lincoln and East Welbourne Avenues – from Center Street to South Park Avenue
  • Morse Boulevard – from South Knowles to South New York
  • Park Avenue – from West Canton to Lyman

SunRail will be running a late train on March 18th that festival-goers can take advantage of to avoid any parking headaches the festival may cause. You can click HERE to see the schedule and plan your trip.

  1. Google the Amtrak Station on Morse Blvd. The Sunrail station is directly next door to it. But not sure if its address is Morse Blvd or you can Google the intersection of Morse Blvd and Park Ave. Morse Blvd actually cuts the park into 2 different sections, but still considered one Park.

You can’t miss this park, Amtrak and Sunrail Stations butt right up and across the railroad tracks which are directly next to the Park.

It’s right smack in the center of downtown Winter Park. And is the only park within these confines.

  2. I am 75 years old and will need to use my gps to find the festival. What address can I enter to get there ???

  3. Wow, big whoop. Sunrail will run a “late” train on Friday 3/18. So what about Saturday and Sunday? Honestly I wish I could take my vote back for this useless train. When I voted for this, I expected a train that would be operating 24 hours a day/7 days a week!

Not running at least on weekends, as well as late as 12am(midnight)-3am for those that work late night shifts (bars, restaurants, etc.). This train is really useless for so many people that would utilize it for getting to LATE NIGHT, AS WELL AS WEEKEND EVENTS!

This goes for our crappy LYNX Bus System/Service too!

Wasn’t for the very “limited hours” of operation, I might have been able to attend some of these events.

Transportation really sucks in our Tourist Corridors, not only for the tourists, but for those that live and work in these very corridors.

Want us to use personal vehicles less, then fix our freakin’ transportation issues so we can!

I’m disabled, can’t drive and can’t walk very far, nearest darn LYNX Bus to me is a 3+ mile walk. So for the disabled that may not have a motorized scooter or electric powered wheelchair are left out because we can’t walk that distance. I don’t own a vehicle because I am also legally blind.

Our transportation is not designed for everyone, not even the bus routes go to where they should. It’s ridiculous!

Would I love to get to the Winter Park Art Festival? Absolutely, I would.

    But with our current
NON-TRANSPORTATIONAL SYSTEM, that leaves me out. {8^[>
