Orlando-based drag queen and accomplished singer/performer Ginger Minj (Instagram) has snagged a role in the upcoming Disney+ film, Hocus Pocus 2, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum has reportedly filmed a scene for the much-anticipated sequel as a Bette Midler/Winifred Sanderson-inspired drag performer during a “Sanderson Sister Costume Contest” as seen below via a Hocus Pocus insider Instagram account, @HocusPocusGuide.
Disney has neither confirmed nor denied Ginger’s involvement in the film, which is set 29 years after the original film, which was released in 1993. The film will see the resurrection of the Sanderson Sisters by three high school students.
Hocus Pocus 2 is expected to be released this fall – likely in time for Halloween.
