Winter Park’s annual outdoor dining event is back for its 19th year on Saturday, April 2, and tickets are already on sale.
Groups of eight people can rent a table for the evening for $125, decorate it, then use it to dine under the stars in the middle of Park Avenue. Awards are presented in various categories, including Most Elegant, Most Colorful, Most Original, and honorable mentions. The event opens at 6 p.m. with the official judging of the tables beginning at 7 p.m., although judging of your outfit and haircut begins as soon as you arrive … by your fellow diners.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the city’s new Splash, Float, Swim initiative to teach basic water safety and swimming instruction to all children in Winter Park before the completion of Kindergarten.
