A new “high-end wine and spirits” market will be opening in Winter Park near the Rollins College baseball fields at 834 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], according to a recent report by the32789.
The Generous Pour (Website) is a new concept by partners Raymond Horal, Alexander Ammar, and Giuliana Rossi, and will measure in at 11,000 SF with a retail component as well as a space for wine and cocktail-making classes.
They will operate as a certified B-Corp, which means they will focus on balancing profit with purpose and donating to local charities, via a model they call “BOHO,” or “Buy One, Help Others.” While those charities are yet to be named on their website, they do share that guests will be able to choose from a list of organizations to receive a donation while making a purchase at the shop, as discussed in the below video.
The Generous Pour is expected to open later this year.
That’s cool but why did they have to bite the name of Capital Grille’s bomb annual wine event. Bad move. Be original.
