The City of Winter Park’s Urban Forestry Division is partnering with the National Arbor Day Foundation and Florida Forest Service to hand out free trees to residents.
The Community Canopy Program will allow qualifying residents to receive one free tree that will be delivered directly to their doorstep, along with instructions for planting and care.
The tree species include bald cypress, chaste tree, dahoon holly, and sweetbay magnolia and will be one gallon in size.
