The Orlando chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be hosting a very special Jesus-themed party at a local gay bar this Easter Sunday that’s sure to get people talking.
The “Hunky Chunky Jesus” contest will take place at the popular LGTBQ+ venue, the District Dive, in the Milk District on Sunday, April 17 from 4-7 p.m. Attendees and hopeful contestants are encouraged to dress in Jesus-inspired attire and compete to win prizes in unnamed categories. The event will also feature an array of games, raffles, and drink specials.

The Orlando Sisters – Abbey of St. Gertrude de Nivelles (Facebook) is a group of queer volunteers that work to “spread joy, banish guilt, and help the community” by hosting community fundraisers each year. Members don colorful nun-drag that was inspired by the original chapter in San Francisco.
