The Orlando chapter of the Awesome Foundation has been on a brief pause since January 2021 but they’re finally back in action and ready to start handing out envelopes of cash again to help make awesome things happen in Orlando.
The Awesome Foundation is a group of ten people who each donate $100 a month for a pot of $1,000 cash that they donate to a project that they think will, “make Orlando more awesome.” Applications are submitted HERE by local artists, creatives, organizations, and regular ragamuffins, reviewed by the board of ten awesome judges (or judges of awesome), and then the winner is given an envelope filled with cold, hard cash.
For context, Bungalower and the Milk District were awarded an Awesome Foundation grant to help fund our Milk Crate Furniture project which later won an award from the American Advertising Federation for its American Advertising Awards in Out of Home and Ambient Media – Guerrilla Marketing category.
