Orlando Pride has just released its new 2022-23 kit in honor of the new 2022 National Women’s Soccer League season.
The jersey will serve as the team’s secondary kit for the current season and is available for pre-order HERE as well as at the club’s official team store at Exploria Stadium, The Den, starting on Sunday, May 1, for the Pride’s regular-season opener against NJ/NY Gotham FC.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the last lunar landing, and the new “Luna Kit” is a tip of the hat to that landmark in space exploration, using an “Astronaut White” as the foundation color with a “Moon Grey” collar, sleeves, and trim. Player names will be displayed on the back with a “Rocket Aluminum” grey which features a metallic sheen inspired by thermal blankets used on spacecraft.
The jersey also features the Greek goddess Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon, who also inspired the name of NASA’s first lunar landing.
